Agricultural Production Revenues as the Basis for Life Quality Assurance in Rural Areas

Abstract

The article considers the problem of farming incomes of rural inhabitants under
Zhytomyr region conditions. The author investigates the main tendencies of changes
in the indices of rural incomes and the role of agricultural production in the process
of their creation. The paper also determines the position of rural households in the
agricultural production of the Zhytomyr region. The investigation results substantiate
the need of introducing the strategy of rural economy diversification. The above
strategy is based on the following three directions: diversification of agricultural
production, rural nonagricultural activity of households and rural economy as a whole
(location of various production facilities and processing enterprises in rural areas)
