Abstract
The study examines the existing situation in Ukraine’s pig production and
defines it as a depressive one. It exposes the causes and shows the role of
vertical integration in their overcoming. Two options of vertically integrated
structures are outlined: formation of agricultural marketing cooperatives and
establishment of large-scale vertically integrated enterprises.
