The State Support and Regulation of Agricultural Cooperative Development as a Priority of Agricultural Policy

Oleg Skydan

In most countries an increasing number of agricultural producers - private
farmers, large-scale farming enterprises or individual plot-holders - participates
in a co-operative or is involved in creating one - and even more are eager to do
so. The state support aims at fostering the creation and development of
agricultural co-operatives and at creating a favorable legal, economic and
organizational environment for the co-operative movement in Ukraine. Thus, it
is necessary to provide assistance to all key organizations and persons involved
in development of the co-operative movement – bringing together and
supporting skills and wills at all levels.
