Model of entrepreneurship and innovations possibilities in the rural areas of Lithuania
Abstract
Concept of entrepreneurship is revealed in this article, factors determining entrepreneurship
are highlighted, and possibilities of entrepreneurship in the rural areas of Lithuania are summarized.
Also the activities of institutions providing possibilities for promoting entrepreneurship
are analyzed. The aim of this paper is to analyze entrepreneurship possibilities based on
scientific literature and obtained results. After conducting SWOT analysis the following objectives
were identified: traditional and cultural resources should be used to create new business, business
should be developed using family relationships, social and economic services infrastructure
should be developed, provision of quality services should be ensured, rural communities activities
should be encouraged for inter-ties development and new business ideas generation and
development, rural areas resident competence and ability to adapt to changes should be developed,
self-confidence, communication skills should be encouraged, support for alternative economic
activities, creating quality workplaces should be provided.
