Evaluation of competencies‘ development through student mobility

Students of universities are potential human resources of organisations. It is very important to develop present students’ competencies in order they could be good employees. This could be done better using mobility concept when students study abroad, gain and develop their international competencies then. Having in mind world globalisation trends, one of the areas of education where governments could invest is the international education and the stimulation of student mobility, as internationalisation of Higher Education is at least so far by and large based on student mobility. This paper pays on prior advantages got by students’ mobility and their developed international competencies. According to scientific literature analysis 3 types of core competences through students’ mobility were highlighted: 1) academic knowledge and skills, 2) cultural awareness and expression, and 3) social and civic competences. Cultural awareness and expression were evaluated as the most important through mobility according to empirical study.
