Possibilities of spending leisure of people older than 60 years in Marijampole region
This paper analyzes the determinants of the elderly leisure activities. Most of older people have discontinued their active work and as a result faced an excess of the free time. Older people prefer leisure forms according to their interests and financial options. The Government of Lithuanian Republic and other authorities focus on elderly people's problems do not significantly affect older people's employment, residence and recreation issues. The aim of this research is to reveal the leisure features and leisure capabilities of those who are over 60 years old. The study revealed elderly peoples’ expectations, so it is necessary to look for ways to intensify the elderly recreational activities in Marijampole municipality.
